Crreg Longfor Chenyue: A Cozy and Open Interior Space Design

Exploring the Needs of Modern Family Living

With a focus on comfort, emotion, and connection, Ying Rui and the design team behind Crreg Longfor Chenyue have created a warm and inviting living experience. By breaking down the sense of indoor distance and expanding the functionality of the space, this interior design promotes interaction among family members and enhances the overall quality of life.

The Crreg Longfor Chenyue project is a model room design that features four bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. This layout caters to the diverse needs of different family members, ensuring that everyone has their own space while still fostering a sense of togetherness. The design team has utilized a six-meter horizontal hall and LKD design techniques to maximize lighting and transparency, creating a cozy and open atmosphere that combines modern aesthetics with simplicity.

One of the standout features of this design is the use of soft and warm colors, along with a variety of simple and restrained materials. This combination creates a sense of light luxury with a warm tone, making the space feel inviting and comfortable. The background wall, featuring a customized rock plate and metal grille design, adds a dynamic element and enhances the overall atmosphere of the room.

Functionality and practicality were key considerations in the realization of this design. The living room and dining room are seamlessly connected, blurring the boundaries and eliminating any sense of tightness or crowding. The open layout eliminates unnecessary stacks and cabinets, allowing for clear foot traffic and a more streamlined living experience. The master bedroom suite combines the functions of a bedroom, cloakroom, and bathroom, maximizing efficiency and convenience.

With a total area of 125 square meters, Crreg Longfor Chenyue is a testament to the thoughtful design and attention to detail. The design team, led by Ying Rui, has created a space that not only meets the basic needs of a home but also enhances the socializing, esteem, and self-actualization needs of its inhabitants. By upgrading the public areas with LKD design, this project offers a high-quality living experience that caters to the higher-level needs of modern families.

Overcoming various creative, technical, and research challenges, the design team was able to transform the space into a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment. By removing non-bearing walls and incorporating LKD design, they increased the lighting and transparency of the space. The addition of simple foot traffic paths and storage solutions maximized the available space and improved overall efficiency. The independent yet interconnected functional areas promote interaction among family members, further enhancing the overall living experience.

The Crreg Longfor Chenyue project was completed in Nanjing in April 2022 and opened to the public in May 2022. It has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This prestigious award acknowledges the innovative and resourceful nature of the design, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life. Crreg Longfor Chenyue is a testament to the power of thoughtful and well-executed interior design in creating a warm and inviting living space.
